We raised our families here in Maricopa County. Arizona is our home. But the hard reality is that every single week, over 50 families in our beautiful state fall into homelessness. It is our heartfelt commitment to make a difference in our community by supporting an incredible organization called the House of Refuge.
The House of Refuge is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization situated on 20 acres in Southeast Mesa, Arizona. They offer over 80 2-bedroom homes to families experiencing homelessness. More than just providing shelter, the House of Refuge goes above and beyond by offering comprehensive, wrap-around supportive services. They empower these families to overcome homelessness, become self-sufficient, and transition to sustainable housing.
To qualify for residence at the House of Refuge, individuals must be homeless, at risk of homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or in their third trimester of pregnancy. They desperately need help. The House of Refuge takes them in and treats them with the utmost dignity and respect throughout their journey. The organization offers not only a safe and secure home but also complete furnishings that families can take with them when they leave. Additionally, they provide essential clothing, food boxes, individualized case management services, and support for employment and education, all with the goal of stabilizing lives and facilitating the transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
The House of Refuge boasts an astonishing 96% success rate, a testament to the effectiveness of their programs. We are immensely proud to support this worthy organization that is making a real impact in helping less fortunate individuals in our community regain their homes, dignity, and lives. Currently, they house approximately 100 homeless adults and 150 children, providing them with the support they need to regain stability and self-sufficiency.
However, the House of Refuge cannot accomplish this incredible work alone. They heavily rely on sponsorships and donations from compassionate individuals and organizations like ours. That is why we have taken it upon ourselves to embark on a mission to raise $10,000 for the House of Refuge. We are doing our part by donating a portion of our referral sales income to this worthy cause.
